Moonstone

£9.00

Moonstone is a captivating crystal that is famous for it's glowing sheen. It's often called the "Stone of New Beginnings", tied to lunar patterns and magic, intuition and the divine feminine for centuries.

  • Emotional Balance: It is heavily used to soothe emotional instability and stress. Like the moons pull on the tides, it helps stabilise your emotions rather than letting them sweep you away.

  • Intuition & Insight: Many keep moonstone nearby for meditation or dreamwork, believing it enhances psychic abilities, sharpens intuition, and opens up the third eye chakra.

  • Navigating change: Because it is tied to cycles, it is a comforting companion during major life transitions, helping you to let go of old patterns and embrace fresh starts.

How to Cleanse & Charge your Moonstone

Because moonstone absorbs energy, it benefits from regular energetic cleansing. Given it's namesake, the best way to care for it energetically is under the moon.

  • The Full Moon Bath: Place your crystal outside or on a windowsill overnight during a full moon to clear it's energy and recharge its vibration.

  • Smoke Cleansing: Pass the moonstone through the smoke of dried sage, palo santo, or incense for around 30 seconds.

  • Sound Clearing: Use a singing bowl or chime near the stone to let the sound vibrations reset it.

Physical Care & Handling

Because moonstone is a softer stone with a specific internal structure, it can crack or chip if mishandled.

AVOID SALT WATER: While a quick rinse under lukewarm tap water is perfectly fine, DO NOT soak moonstone in salt water, as salt can degrade its surface over time.

  • Cleaning: Clean it using a soft microfiber cloth, warm water, and a tiny drop of mild dish soap if it gets oily. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners.

  • Storage: Store your moonstone wrapped in a soft cloth or in its own pouch away from harder stones like quartz, amethyst, or diamonds, which can easily scratch it.
